Fines for the violation of the “Regulation on Prohibition of Illegal Work”
Offender Violation Fines (MOP)
Individual or legal person in Macao Breaching the limits and conditions stated in “Exceptions” $20,000.00 to $50,000.00 for each worker
Non-Resident Exercising self-supporting activity A fine of $20,000.00 to $50,000.00 and shall be forbidden to exercise any employment activity in Macao for a period of 2 years
Breaching the limits and conditions stated in “Exceptions” $5,000.00 to $20,000.00
Fines for the violation of the “Law for the Employment of Non-Resident Workers”
Offender Violation Fines (MOP)
Employer Holding an employment permit for the hiring of a non-resident employee but hires a non-resident employee who is not authorized to be employed A fine of $10,000.00 to $20,000.00 for each worker together with the revocation of all or part of the employment permits issued to the employer, along with the suspension of the right to request new employment permits for a period of 6 months to 2 years
Not holding an employment permit for the hiring of a non-resident employee yet hires such worker A fine of $10,000.00 to $20,000.00 for each worker together with the suspension of the right to request new employment permits for a period of 6 months to 2 years
A non-resident employee works at non-authorized location A fine of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 for each worker together with the revocation of all or part of the employment permits issued to the employer, along with the suspension of the right to request new employment permits for a period of 6 months to 2 years
A non-resident employee provides a professional activity which he/she is not authorized to perform A fine of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 for each worker together with the revocation of all or part of the employment permits issued to the employer, along with the suspension of the right to request new employment permits for a period of 6 months to 2 years
Non-Resident An illegal worker $5,000.00 to $10,000.00
A non-resident employee works for a non-authorized entity $5,000.00 to $10,000.00
