 Measures adopted by the Labour Affairs Bureau in tropical storms, rainstorms and adverse weather conditions
  • When tropical cyclone warning signal no. 8 or above is hoisted, all classes/examinations/activities are cancelled; when the signal is hoisted during classes/examinations/activities, the participants are allowed to leave only in safe conditions.
  • When rainstorm warning signal is issued, the apprenticeship training classes are suspended; when the signal is issued during classes, these follow the normal class timetable.
  • When adverse weather conditions are forecasted, the apprenticeship training classes of the following day will be suspended for the whole day.

Signals and Time Apprenticeship training courses Other courses, examinations and activities: “Construction Safety Card” Course (6 hours), “Construction Safety Card” Refresher Course (3 hours), public examinations, OSH module courses, vocational training courses, skills evaluation tests, and other public activities
Tropical cyclone warning signal no. 8 or above is hoisted Between 7:30 and before the start of morning classes/examinations/activities Morning classes will be suspended / examinations and activities will be postponed
Between 12:30 and before the start of afternoon classes/examinations/activities Afternoon classes will be suspended / examinations and activities will be postponed
Between 14:31 and before the start of evening classes/examinations/activities Evening classes will be suspended / examinations and activities will be postponed
During classes/examinations/activities Participants will be allowed to leave only in safe conditions
Rainstorm warning signal is hoisted Between 7:30 and before the start of morning classes/examinations/activities Morning classes will be suspended Classes, examinations, and activities will continue as usual
Between 12:30 and before the start of afternoon classes/examinations/activities Afternoon classes will be suspended
During classes/examinations/activities Classes will follow the normal timetable
Forecast of adverse weather conditions If at 17:30 the weather forecast of the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau for the following day is:
- very cold with a minimum temperature of 0ºC or below; or
- very hot with a maximum temperature of 40ºC or above
Classes will be suspended on the following day Classes, examinations, and activities will continue as usual
 
Remarks:
  • The Labour Affairs Bureau will announce the cancellation of classes or examinations through television, radio and on the website(www.dsal.gov.mo)and the mobile app (DSAL App). The Bureau reserves the right of final decision on any matters not specified in the above measures.
  • The Bureau will make alternative arrangements for classes, examinations or activities cancelled due to tropical storms, rainstorms or adverse weather conditions.
